Travel Agency Manager

WANTED: Super detail and sales orientated Travel Agent join our family owned agency as the Manager.

We’re a fast growing boutique-travel agency previously based in Melbourne and we have moved lock stock and barrel to Benalla. We'll be opening our new office at 46 Nunn Street, Benalla at the end of April and we need you.

Here’s a description of the job:

  • You will be an experienced Travel Agent, with strong sales in previous roles and you will be ready to move to the next step and manage this agency.
  • You will be committed to continuing in a sales role.
  • You will need to be versed in our technology: Tramada, and Sabre. 
  • You'll need to adjust to our Preferreds, but your input is what we want. 
  • As Manager there will be times when you will take over and keep thing's running smoothly. 
  • You will be expected to assist with recruiting and managing staff both in sales and sales support roles.
  • You will be part of the running of the business, and will include administration.
  • You will be responsible for organising customer events.
  • Sadly you will need to be willing to sacrifice everything at home to pack your bag and get off on famils and take advantage of Industry Rates - it's a tough job but someone has to do it (all we ask is that we coordinate our diaries so we can do the same!).

  • SUPER Detail orientated - we’re talking CRAZY detailed! People you’ve worked with in the past have told you that you’re extremely detailed.
  • You have more than 3 years experience in the industry, in a sales or management role.
  • You are ready to commit to a Managerial role while still servicing your customers.
  • You will be confident in developing new business.
  • You will be a GREAT communicator.
  • You will be confident with TRAMADA and SABRE.
  • You will be willing to attend product nights, training, go on famils and soak up any and all information from our suppliers.
